 Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA),  Philippines

 

 

Ernesto del Mar Pernia is the current Director-General of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), a Philippine government agency responsible for the country's economic development and planning.

He is a former lead economist of the Asian Development Bank, he also serves as the Secretary for Socioeconomic Planning under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Dr Pernia is a well-known Filipino economist, writer and professor emeritus at the University of the Philippines School of Economics.
